MKTG 50065 - Marketing and Advertising Integration
I've taught and worked in the marketing field for more than 30 years. Marketing is a vital aspect of any operation. Whether an organization is large or small, domestic or international, profit or not-for-profit it must market itself to survive. It is a critical component on survival in any area and students require a solid grounding in this discipline in order to be successful in the working world.

How long have you been with Sheridan?

I joined Sheridan in the fall of 1997 as a part-time instructor and was hired full-time in the fall of 2000. I have been a program coordinator since 2002.

What is your favourite part about Sheridan?

Sheridan is an excellent community in which people dedicated to teaching and learning can work and contribute. Sheridan remains as one of the largest, most successful colleges in the system largely due to the strength and diversity of its programs. Students can be educated across a wide variety of disciplines and credential levels through the (approximately) 130 programs we offer across four credential levels: certificate, diploma, degree and graduate certificate.

What do you think is the greatest strength of the post-grad program?

Providing the necessary skills to be job-ready upon graduation, which is backed up by an in-house cooperative education program that assists graduates to find work in their area of interest in the advertising industry.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering a post-grad education in Advertising?

If you're certain that advertising is the field you want to work in, you will be well-prepared for it by studying at the post graduate level at Sheridan.
